Scott Bolendz Photography | About

Scott Bolendz is an award-winning fine art photographer based in Bradenton, Florida.  From lush tropical environments to moody mountains and lonely seascapes, his emotionally expressive images of natural places give visual shape to a dynamic relationship between the internal and external worlds.  Both memory and personal history imbue his concept-driven work with a strong biographical dimension.  Through his photographic explorations, he searches for subjects that connect his own particular life experiences with larger, more universal, narratives of loss, human vulnerability and mortality.

Scott's work has been exhibited at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, Black Box Gallery, PhotoPlace Gallery, Artemesia Art & Tendencies, Praxis Gallery and Photographic Art Center, A. Smith Gallery and The Studio @ 620.  He is represented by UPA Gallery and is a photography instructor and advisory board member at the Florida Museum of Photograpahic Arts in Tampa.
